NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR WOMEN SOCIETIES (NCWS) KEBBI STATE CHAPTER APPOINTS HER EXCELLENCY WIFE OF THE KEBBI STATE GOVERNOR HAJIYA NAFISA NASIR IDRIS AS GRAND PATRON. The Chairperson of National council for Women societies, kebbi state chapter (NCWS) Hajiya Halima Hassan Kamba said the organization found her worthy of the appointment for her selfless services to women and children in the state and humanity in general, calling on women to rally round the present administration so as to have more dividends of democracy. In her acceptance speech, the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency,Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris, expressed gratitude for finding her worthy of the appointment, reiterating her total commitment to improving the lives of women in the state, promising to carry the organization along in her activities, she thanked the organization for the honour done to her. Gov. Idris inspect deployment of police operational vehicles to Kebbi. Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris has commended the Federal Government for the supply of highly supisticated operational vehicles to the state. Inspecting the operational vehicles at the Kebbi State Police Command in Birnin Kebbi on Monday, the governor appreciated the decision of the Acting Inspector General of Police, Ag. IG Kayode Adeolu for the deployment of the vehicles to the state. Gov. The Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafidan Kabi, has condoled the people of  Alle-kwara village in Lailaba district of Argungu Local government over the death and injuries recorded from the recent thunder storm that hits the village. At least  3 people died and six (6) injured from the incident. The injured are recieving treatment in the hospital. The Deputy Governor  visited the Village in order to condole with the family and relatives of the victims. He also provided financial support of three million five hundred thousand naira (N3,500,000) to the families of those who lost their lives and those that are recieving medical treatment.
