Special Duties Commissioner elected President Private Schools Owners Association in Kebbi. The Kebbi State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Zayyanu Umar-Aliero has been elected as President of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in the State. Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor stated this in a statement made available to Journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday. The statement said the election took place at the State Ministry of Women Affairs in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday. It also revealed that the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Halima Hassan-Kamba was also elected as Financial Secretary of the association.  In his acceptance speech, the new president pledged to operate an open door policy that would carry all manner of people along towards fostering unity among all members. INFORMATION COMMISSIONER VISITS HASKE FM RADIO GWANDU …Commends Management for sense of community The Kebbi state Commissioner of Information and Culture Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK today undertook a working visit to the Haske Community FM radio station in Gwandu, headquarters of Gwandu Local government in Kebbi state to identify with and encourage the management to persevere despite unfavorable broadcast conditions. Received by the General Manager of the station Malam Bashar Abdullahi backed by other staff members, the Commissioner was full of praises for the young men and women who have braved glaring odds and challenges to keep the station on air.
